Responsibilities Of A Guardian
Guardians play an essential role in protecting clients’ homes, pets, and plants. Your presence keeps the property secure and well maintained, following the detailed brief provided by the homeowner. Guardians ensure everything remains exactly as it was found, respecting both the client’s wishes and privacy. This trusted role requires responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail, ensuring that when the homeowner returns, their property and animals are cared for precisely as requested. Find out how pet sitting services and security sitting together offer tailored care for pets and protection for properties of all kinds.

Rules For Guardians On Assignment
Every Guardian must adhere to strict rules while on assignment. Properties should never be left unattended for more than three hours during daylight or thirty minutes after dark. No visitors are allowed under any circumstances, and confidentiality about clients and their homes must be maintained at all times. Guardians must lock up securely, stay in residence until properly relieved, and check in daily with head office to confirm that all is well.
Professional Conduct And Property Care
Guardians are expected to behave with integrity and professionalism throughout every assignment. Homes should always be kept clean and tidy, with everything left as found. Safety is paramount—Guardians must never take unnecessary risks. This high standard of care ensures client satisfaction, preserves trust, and upholds the excellent reputation of our house-sitting services.

Becoming A Guardian
House sitting appeals to mature, responsible individuals seeking rewarding occasional work rather than a full-time income. Many of our Guardians are semi-retired professionals who enjoy caring for homes and animals while earning extra income. Applicants must live permanently in the UK, be fit, own a car, be non-smokers, and comfortable with pets. All applicants undergo thorough assessment and vetting. If you meet these criteria and are interested, submit your application form to begin the process.
